Photo contribution — Bear Lake station

By Lynne BulgerBear Lake stationApproximately late 1890’s

Photographs of Bear Lake station.

My great grandparents, Anna and Anders Bjorklund, were the first immigrants from Norway to settle on land grants at Bear Lake in 1872. They were followed by additional immigrants from Scandinavia in 1873.
They built a church to serve the community in 1876, St. Olaf’s Lutheran Church, which just celebrated its 150th year this summer (Aug 2026).
The Seguin Trail runs through our property.
