Keep the forum useful, welcoming and focused on the Seguin Trail, its communities and its railway history.
Be useful and respectful
Disagreement is fine. Personal attacks, harassment, threats, hateful content, deliberate disruption and repeated bad-faith behaviour are not.
Separate evidence from memory
Family stories and local recollections are valuable. When discussing history, say when something is a memory, interpretation or unverified lead, and include an archive, book, newspaper, map or other source when you have one.
Photographs and copyright
Only upload photographs you own or have permission to share. For historical images, include the source, archive reference or ownership information whenever possible. If you are unsure about reuse rights, say so rather than presenting the image as public domain.
Protect privacy
Do not post private addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or other personal information about someone else without permission.
No advertising or spam
The forum is not a marketplace or advertising board. Factual local-service information relevant to trail users is welcome, but promotional posts, affiliate links and repetitive advertising may be removed.
Trail safety and access
Describe conditions and access as accurately as you can, including the date. Do not encourage trespassing or bypassing closures, gates or property restrictions.
Moderation
Moderators may move, lock, hide or remove posts and topics, resolve reports, verify accounts manually and suspend accounts when necessary to keep the forum useful and safe.
